Every digital design or artisanal card we create is intended to capture, honor, share and celebrate life’s most significant moments. The moments and the memories… that make people smile.
Once a small cadre of crafters in a Bedford, New York garage, Tumbalina has grown under the vision (and boundless energy!) of our founder and chief inspiration officer, Oak Atkinson, into a global retail and e-tail paper goods company known for heart-warming, award-winning designs.
Beyond our expansive selection of heartfelt greetings, some of our more notable digital collections include warm and whimsical“special person” signage and a bounty of easy-to-download wedding cards, tableware, notices and novelties, certain to beguile any bride.
Ever evolving, Tumbalina embraces and harnesses the best of technology to give our customers instant access to life-enhancing designs.
Tumbalina —-touching hearts, one by one.
Artist, artisan and corporate-marketer-turned-entrepreneur, Oak has channeled her unique talent and passion into a thriving enterprise, by design.
As Tumbalina’s lead designer and creative director, Oak’s every original concept blends ebullience and elegance. Contemporary color palettes, bespoke hand-lettering and whimsical typography, clever copy….“modern chic with a happy hipster twist” is her unmistakable, signature style.
Oak’s inventive signage designs are fresh, fun and funky. Her vast array of photo-cards adds personality and warmth to special images and events. Each design is a delicate balance of formal and informal, art and charm, always intended to elevate and celebrate the actual photo, without ever infringing or overwhelming.
As an entrepreneur, Oak’s early years in beauty, fashion and consumer package good’s (plus Fordham MBA) gave her a serious, solid business base. Since 2003 she has piloted Tumbalina from a tiny, hand-made greeting card company to a major player in the burgeoning photo card space, bringing design panache and profitability to her partners Walgreens, Snapfish, WholeFoods and Papersource.
